McListers, located in the heart of Ballycastle was established in 1909 as an independent General Merchant store and is now run by James McLister, the fourth generation of this family business. Being an independent shop, McListers can quickly respond and adapt to customer’s requirements to keep their shopping local. The shop has been continually evolved during its history and includes a large grocery store selling branded and own-label products including fresh produce and packaged goods as well as household items.
With customer benefits in mind, McLister has taken the decision to align with Home Hardware, the largest dealer-owned voluntary organisation of its kind in the UK. Home Hardware combines the buying power of over 450 independent Members and provides access to over 20,000 stocked products spanning hardware, DIY, gardening, and houseware ranges.
As the first Home Hardware branded store in Northern Ireland, it’s also a great achievement for Home Hardware, based in South West England.
Pam Moss, corporate brand manager, said: “We are delighted to announce the business partnership with McListers, they lead the way in Northern Ireland, and join over 60 other corporate stores nationally.”
