Prior to that he spent 17 years at The Range, latterly as a buyer. Jim has held a variety of buying positions over the past 30 years, originally in builders merchants and electrical wholesaling.
Commenting on his move, he said: “The developments at Home Hardware, particularly with the expansion of own-label products, will continue after I have gone. The buying team will continue to manage the supplier relationships.”
He added: “Home Hardware has been hugely supportive and I have learnt a lot working with ceo Martin Elliott. The unique relationship Home Hardware has with the members it supplies has been a very important part of my career.”
