Hoover unveils Cake Club promotion

Kitchen appliance manufacturer Hoover has launched a ‘gift with purchase’ promotion with The Dorrington’s Cake Club.

The offer, which runs until November 30, is available on purchases of 25 Hoover models in total. A two-month subscription to The Dorrington’s Cake Club is available on a selection of six single ovens, and a three-month subscription on the remaining 19 appliances, which include range cookers and the new collection of double ovens.

Through the subscription, purchasers will receive a package of cakes and biscuits from Dorrington’s Cake Club, delivered direct to their door once a month for two or three months.

Owain Harrison, UK head of sales and marketing for Hoover Candy Baumatic Built-in, commented: “Perfect for ‘foodies’ and in line with our Hoover built-in baking branding, this gift with purchase has been designed to convey the key brand values through point-of sale and is available for use in-store and online.

“The promotion provides additional value and an extra reason to purchase a Hoover range cooker and single or double oven in the months leading up to Christmas.”

He continued: “Having a ‘sweet treat’ delivered to the consumer after purchase will not only remind them of the Hoover brand, but also provide retailers in the showroom with eye-catching POS that draws attention to the appliance and allows them to talk through the various cooking functions and features.

“The promotion has also been designed to allow trade up through the Hoover cooking range. Single ovens have a two-month cake club gift while top of the range ovens and range cookers come with three months, providing the ability to upsell due to the increased added value perception.”
