Housewares names scoop licensing awards

More than 350 licensors, licensees, agents and retailers celebrated at the inaugural Brand and Lifestyle Licensing Awards (B&LLAs), held in London last Wednesday (April 20).

Organised by the team behind the UK Licensing Awards, the B&LLAs celebrate the achievements of the brand and lifestyle licensing community.

Portmeirion Group scooped The Best Licensed Brand Home or Garden Product or Range award for its Ted Baker Portmeirion – Fine Collection – Rosie Lee range.

The Best Licensed Brand Gifting Product or Range category was won by Newbridge Silverware for its Guinness Giftware Collection.

The winner of the Licensed Talent Brand award was interior designer, cook and author Sophie Conran.

In the retail categories, the Best Department Store or Mixed Retailer Licensed Brand Retailer Execution winner was Debenhams and the Best Supermarket Licensed Brand Retailer Execution category went to Tesco.

Boots clinched the Best Specialist Licensed Brand Retailer Execution and the V&A took home the Licensed Heritage or Institution Brand award.
