For a decade, House Beautiful has been rewarding excellence in the homes and interiors market, and this year’s 10th anniversary shortlist ‘shows the desire for good design, products and services across every area of homes is still key,’ according to the consumer magazine.
The House Beautiful Awards 2013 winners were announced last month at a ceremony hosted by David Domoney, that took place at London’s Science Museum with record numbers in attendance.
Gardener, broadcaster and author Alan Titchmarsh confirmed his place as a respected authority on gardening and much loved TV personality by winning the reader-voted Favourite Home-Related Celebrity.
But details of the winners in the 25 categories of excellence in home designs, products and retalers will be kept under wraps until the March issue of House Beautiful.
But the organisers have revealed that Blubellgray won gold in the Best Carpet category for the Rug collection, Vi-Spring won gold for the Devonshire with De Luxe wool divan in the Best of British Category, Design Lab in collaboration with Thornback & Peel won gold for Best Furniture and Le Creuset bakeware was awarded gold in the Best Tableware or Cookware category.

The Best Kitchen & Household Product category has the following contenders: Ultramix Pro stick mixer – AEG, Vantage Sio kitchen sink – Astracast, Vintage Icona pump espresso coffee machine – De’Longhi, 4-slot Architect toaster – Dualit, DrawerStore expandable cutlery tray – Joseph Joseph, French Press cafetiere – OXO, Elise 100 Induction range cooker – Rangemaster, Max microwave range – Whirlpool, Artisan kettle – KitchenAid and Sparkling HydroTap – Zip Heaters.
The Best Cleaning Product nominees are UltraCaptic vacuum cleaner – AEG,BSG5SILGB Power Silence cylinder vacuum – Bosch, Click ‘n’ Clean cleaning system – Dunelm, Blitz That Mould – Lakeland, Deluxe Handheld Vac – Oreck, Any-Angle broom – OXO, SS201ON Steam Mop – Swan and VK150 vacuum cleaner and SP530 hard floor attachment – Vorwerk.
Finally, the candidates in the Best Online Homewares Company category are Great Little Trading Company, Bathrooms by Screwfix, Bemz, Loaf, The Cotswold Company and WorldStores.
