For over a decade, consumer magazine ‘House Beautiful’ has been rewarding excellence in the homes and interiors market in its annual awards programme – and this year’s shortlist includes a plethora of housewares retailers and suppliers.

Dunelm, Ikea, John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, Next Home and Tesco are competing to be named as Favourite Home Retailer of the Year, as voted by readers of ‘House Beautiful’. Meanwhile argos.co.uk, dunelm-mill.com, johnlewis.com, lakeland.com, marksandspencer.com, next.co.uk and tesco.com are rivals in the readers’ Favourite Online Retailer of the Year. And three household names are shortlisted for the readers’ Favourite Home-Related Celebrity: Kirstie Allsopp, George Clarke, Nick Knowles, Kevin McCloud and Alan Titchmarsh.
In other categories, the Best Tableware or Cookware shortlist is: Eat.it – Alessi; Savannah Glassware – Artland; Sieni-Fisher On A Dishie Platter – Churchill China; Stellar James Martin Baker’s Dozen – Horwood; Matte Cotton Cast Iron Shallow Casserole – Le Creuset; Sophie Conran for Portmeirion – Portmeirion Group; Delamere Rural – Portmeirion Group; Rin Collection of Bowls – Reiko Kaneko; Refined Rustic Ripple Effect Dinnerware – Sainsbury’s; Blue Rain Dinnerware- Tesco; Anton Studio Designs Fizz Glassware – The DRH Collection and Daisy Collection – Wedgwood.
The Best Kitchen & Household Product shortlist includes 7 Series Expressionist Collection of Kitchen Appliances – AEG; Dedica Bar Pump Coffee Machine – De’Longhi; Hand Blender Set – Dualit and Go Chef – 8 in 1 Cooker – JML. Finally, Joseph Joseph’s Foodstore Carousel is shortlisted in the Best Storage category.
The winners will be announced on Thursday November 13 at the Science Museum in London.
