Housewares suppliers are coming to the aid of couples hit by the demise of wedding gift company Wrapit by offering discounted goods.
Amongst them is Forma House, which has posted “A notice to Wrapit customers” on its website.
Marketing & development coordinator Richard Watts told HousewaresLive.net: “One couple has been contacting all the suppliers and asking them if they would do this.
“The affected couples can email us and give us their authorisation code, and then they can order what they want off the website and get 40% off.
“We started doing this last week and we’re going to run it till the end of September,” he added.
Emma Bridgewater is running a similar scheme. “While we are not connected to Wrapit,” its website says, “we do want to do whatever we can to help those people who had chosen presents from us.
“We are offering a 50% discount and free delivery for any couple who doesn’t get their presents… We will also offer them a 10% discount on any other Emma Bridgewater purchases”.
The Emma Bridgewater offer also expires September 30.
