One of Croydon’s biggest retail recruitment campaigns kicks off next week as John Lewis starts searching for its new John Lewis At Home team.

The retailer is on the hunt for 220 catering staff, specialist advisers and sales assistants to work at the new shop, due to open this autumn.
It says it is “looking for people with a wide variety of skills and a positive, can-do attitude”.
The Croydon outlet will be John Lewis’s second At Home shop, focussing exclusively on homewares, furniture, furnishing accessories, electrical and home technology. The first, in Poole, attracted more than 1,000 applications for 100 jobs and has performed ahead of target since opening last October.
