John Lewis Click and Collect grows in Waitrose

Click and Collect provides consumers with the opportunity to purchase from more than 130,000 products on the department store group’s website, johnlewis.com. Orders placed before 7pm can then be collected from the nominated Waitrose branches after 2pm the next day.

John Lewis first launched Click and Collect in its department stores in February 2009 and during the past year has successfully trialled the service in its Hexham and Tonbridge Waitrose branches. The service is growing rapidly, and now accounts for around 20% of johnlewis.com orders.

The five top-selling items bought via Click and Collect at John Lewis this year have been: Micro mini scooter, £49.95; Wii Fit Plus and balance board, £74.75; John Lewis cluster fibre pillow two-pack, £20; Apple iPod Touch, 8GB, £189; John Lewis Waffle Moses basket, £29.
