Kitchens gives cause for celebration

Housewares retailer Kitchens of Bath, Bristol and Cardiff is giving shoppers a timely reminder to stock up for forthcoming celebratory events.

Kitchens gives cause for celebration

The south-west cookshop chain notes that January 31 marks the beginning of the Chinese Year of the Horse, and “the celebrations go on for days… so join in with a traditional Chinese meal”. It points out that “In our Asian department you’ll find woks and stir frys, a Tefal electric rice cooker, rice balls, bamboo steamers, a Chinese cleaver, Chinese rice pattern tableware and much more.”

For February, Kitchens asks: “Are you ready to celebrate Yorkshire Pudding Day on February 2? National Bramley Apple Week from February 2- 8, Valentine’s Day on February 14… and do you have your chip pan for National Chip Week from February17?”

And looking ahead to March, the retailer suggests that customers line up their pancake kits for Shrove Tuesday on March 4. “And if that’s not enough, be prepared to celebrate St David’s Day on March 1 in style with Welsh cakes,” it says, before adding “Happy Eating!”
