Kitchens of Bath gets its Bake On

South-west housewares chain Kitchens is hosting a cake off competition at its Bath branch on Saturday (October 11), as part of the Great Bath Feast & National Cake Week and in support of Dorothy House Hospice.

The event is sponsored by housewares brands Le Creuset & Tala from GEH and will be judged by Richard Bertinet of Bertinet Bakery & Cookery School and Brendan Lynch: a finalist in the 2012 series of BBC series ‘The Great British Bake Off’. Prizes include Le Creuset bakeware & Tala cake decorating & baking equipment.

The retailer is also offering consumers the chance to win tickets to see celebrity baker (and co-judge of ‘The Great British Bake Off’) Paul Hollywood on his Get Your Bake On! Live UK tour.

Shoppers who purchase a Magimix Food Processor between October 2- 30 will receive Paul’s new recipe book ‘British Baking’ and and the chance to enter the competition. Magimix has 30 pairs of VIP (meet and greet) tickets and 200 pairs of general admission tickets to give away to see Paul on stage.

The Great Bath Feast is a month-long celebration, described as ‘an excuse for visitors and residents alike to taste new flavours, learn new skills, seek out new experiences and, above all, enjoy themselves and
socialise’.

Top names from the culinary world are heading to the city, including Angela Hartnett and Luke Holder, Dr Annie

Gray, Nathan Outlaw, Tom Kerridge and rising star Ruby Tandoh, as well as lots of home grown Bath talent,

including Ping Coombes, newly-crowned winner of BBC series ‘MasterChef’.
