Homeware and fashion retailer Cath Kidston opened its new London flagship store on December 5.
The 7,000sq ft outlet, which is the largest Cath Kidston store in the world, is located in the heart of London’s West End at 180 Piccadilly, facing the Royal Academy and the Ritz hotel.
Hundreds of shoppers braved the freezing streets of London from 4am until doors opened at 9am last Thursday. Gift cards (of different values up to £180) were given out to the first 180 guests in line, and founder Cath herself dropped by to help serve the first few customers.
Over 20,000 products are on display in the flagship store, which encompasses three floors. The offer ranges from homeware and accessories to fashion. New ranges include the Cath Kidston bespoke furniture upholstery service and the exclusive hand-drawn Piccadilly Print range.
Cath Kidston celebrates its 20th birthday this year. The Piccadilly venue brings the total number of stores snd concessions in the UK and Ireland to 68, with 75 international stores in the mix across Spain, Japan, Republic of Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong and China.
According to the chain, more than 50% of British women aged between 16 and 65 are aware of the Cath Kidston brand.
