The International Federation of Hardware and Housewares Associations is promising an outstanding programme of presentations on global issues, from the supply chain to the environment, human resources to competition, at its Centenary Congress, to be held in London, in September 2009.
The IHA has held its conferences in cities around the world, the last, in 2006, in Shanghai. Next year BHF Group is acting as host and its own national retail conference will be an integral part of the congress.
The congress has the patronage of Princess Anne, and business sessions will take place in Westminster’s Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre. Other events are scheduled for the Guildhall, the Tower of London and Hampton Court.
“The Centenary Congress in 2009 is on track for a landmark event,” said IHA president Chris Patterson. “BHF Group have prepared a programme of business interest and social entertainment which will reward your support. Designed with a professional understanding of the independent retailer, the occasion will appeal to progressive retailers and their suppliers who are looking to protect and develop their business.”
