Georgina Sadowski

Georgina Sadowski, formerly key accounts executive at Australian Women’s Weekly cookery books and executive sales coordinator with ACP Books, has died after a short battle with cancer.

Georgina Sadowski

Georgina Sadowski joined AWW from her position as buyer with a book wholesaling business, bringing with her a wealth of experience and knowledge of the book industry.

Juggling the demands of customers with stock and supply was a key part of her role, which ACP director Laura Bamford says she managed “with skill, commonsense and terrific enthusiasm.

“Georgina very quickly became part of the close-knit AWW team and made good friends of all her colleagues during her three-year tenure [with ACP]. In a typically feisty and brave move, Georgina and her daughter Clara left ACP to travel – first to Australia and then on to join her family in New Zealand.

“Georgina always showed humour, great compassion, courage and determination – qualities which served her well during her brief illness, and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.”

Sadowski died in New Zealand with her family and is survived by her 18-year-old daughter Clara. Messages, marked “For Georgina”, may be sent to ACP at 10 Scirocco Close, Moulton Park Office Village, Northampton NN3 6AP, which will pass them on.
