Mary Berry riding high in book chart

The celebrated cookbook author and star of TV’s ‘The Great British Bake Off’ has just finished presenting her own BBC2 six-part series. Entitled ‘Mary Berry Cooks’, the focus of the show was on home cooking. Her book of the same name features a collection of 100 new recipes, including Mary’s menus for each episode of the show.

Mary will be appearing at the Good Food Show Spring in Harrogate on Saturday April 26. She will be joined at the event by fellow celebrity Dave Myers, who will be live in the Show’s Supertheatre on both Friday April 25 and Saturday 26 April.

Dave is one half of the culinary duo dubbed the Hairy Bikers, along with Si King. The hirsute pair currently hold the number six spot in the book chart with their ‘Hairy Bikers’ Asian Adventure’. Also a BBC TV tie-in, this book follows them as they tour Asia to find the best authentic dishes, with recipes from Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand and Korea.

‘Cake Recipe Collection: Volume 1’ is in eight place in the bestsellers rankings. Compiled by Nielsen Bookscan TCM, the list which collates real time sales from over 6,500 retailers representing over 90% of the UK book market. This list appears in the April 20 issue of ‘The Mail on Sunday’s’ ‘Event’ Magazine.
