Mary Berry’s much anticipated own TV show is due to hit the small screen on Monday March 3 at 8.30pm.
The celebrated cookery book author and star of TV’s The Great British Bake Off, who received a CBE in 2012, is now presenting her own BBC2 six-part series. Entitled ‘Mary Berry Cooks’, the focus will be on home cooking, the area in which Great British Bake Off judge Mary, excels.
A tie-in book of the same name, due for release on February 27, features a collection of 100 new recipes, including Mary’s menus for each episode of the show, from a kitchen supper or a Sunday roast to a summer buffet or afternoon tea.
There are dinner party staples such as Slow-Roast Shoulder of Lamb or Cottage Pie with Dauphinoise Potato Topping, special summer lunches such as Fiery Red Rice Salad and Summer Pudding, and of course, her trademark cakes and bakes.
Book signings will take place on March 13 at Waterstones in Wilmslow, March 15 at Horizons Bookshop in Burnham and March 20 at 1pm at WH Smith in Guildford.
Meanwhile, series 5 of The Great British Bake Off will be filmed through the Spring.
