A cookshop could be amongst the latest collection of struggling stores to be given a helping hand by television’s retail guru Mary Portas.
Optomen Television is set to make a third series of BBC2’s successful Mary Queen of Shops, with the focus this time on independent non-food retailers rather than fashion.
Homewares stores are amongst those which Optomen hopes will now come forward and volunteer to be featured on television for a Portas makeover.
The television company says Portas has “a phenomenal talent for unlocking the potential of businesses – both large and small.
“Up to 100 shops a day are closing in Britain. You may also be feeling the pinch. But, through expert advice, sharing the tricks of the trade, and devising a solution specific to your shop, we can try to get your store on the road to success. It’s a very special, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
