The Housewares Innovation Awards 2020 has announced that the host of next month’s ceremony will be stand-up comedian Tom Ward:
With a decidedly off-beat commentary on modern life (and an instantly recognisable hairdo), Tom is a hit on both the indie and mainstream comedy circuits, infusing sketches with impersonation and improvisation. The winner of Chortle’s Best Newcomer award and with a sell-out show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Tom Ward is set to become a household name.
He will be joined by event announcer Alan Dedicoat, who is the vocal star of BBC One’s ‘The National Lottery Live’ and ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, with one of the most instantly recognisable and quick-witted deliveries in the business.
Tom and Alan will come together for this event to give guests lots to laugh about as they both provide the evening’s entertainment.
The pair will also have the task of revealing the winners of the Housewares Innovation Awards 2020 at the ceremony, which takes place on Monday February 3 at the NCC (National Conference Centre) in Birmingham.
Guests will have the opportunity to network with the housewares sector’s leading names during a drinks reception and enjoy a three-course meal, before finding out which of the finalists will walk away with a trophy.
