Clarion Events has announced that its former show director, Neil Gaisford, will now be managing the diverse portfolio of shows as retail portfolio director.

At the same time the company has named Raj Gill as its new show director for Pulse and Top Drawer.
Clarion says that in his 10 years with the company, Gaisford has made a significant contribution to the success of the retail shows, which include Home & Gift Harrogate as well as Top Drawer Spring and Autumn and Pulse, each of which has enjoyed increased buyers and exhibitors over consecutive years.
Speaking about his new appointment, Gaisford said he was “excited to be leading the strategic development of the portfolio, and with plans already underway for significant investment across the shows, plus the launch of the exciting new show Home in January 2012, I’m looking forward to another thrilling 10 years!”
Meanwhile, Raj Gill joins Clarion following a career in the accessories and womanswear sectors spanning 14 years. The company says her expertise includes bringing together leading buyers and high-end brands for retail events such as Pure, where she not only contributed to the launch but also headed up the show.
Over the last year Clarion has seen consistent visitor and exhibitor growth across its shows. The company operates in nine countries and organises over 150 exhibitions, conferences and seated events annually around the globe.
