Andrew Smith has been appointed managing director of Fiskars Brands, which incorporates Kitchen Devils, Wilkinson Sword garden products, Sankey home and garden products and Craft.

Smith joined Fiskars in 2001 as marketing manager, and has been instrumental in developing the individual strengths of the four brands and building on their synergies under the Fiskars umbrella. He has also forged closer production links between the Bridgend and Nottingham factories.
“The Fiskars portfolio is made up of major retail brands and there will be very few British homes that do not have one or more of our products in their kitchens and gardens. My knowledge of the products, the markets and our core customers will be a considerable strength in driving the business forward,” Smith commented.
He succeeds Ian MacQueen who joined the company last year in a transitory role following the retirement of Ian Fraser.
