Typhoon Housewares has opened a new and greatly-enlarged showroom at its Chessington, Surrey headquarters, and made a raft of new appointments to its sales team.

One of two new agents is Geraldine Finnan, for Wales, western and central England. She has been in the industry for many years, both as a self-employed agent for various principals, including ICTC, and as field sales rep for Meyer Group in the Midlands. Second is Graham Smith, covering Cumbria, Tyne and Wear and Scotland. He has over 10 years’ agency experience with companies including Colony Candles.
Typhoon also has two new area sales managers. Peter Hurford will cover eastern England, while Kevin Towler joins from H&L Russel to cover southern England.
Changes have also been made to the company’s export department. Export accounts will be managed by Mike Lightfoot, John Hayden, who is currently sales and marketing director, and David Peace, formerly export director with Meyer Group.
