Hot on the heels of John Lewis’ announcement that Newbury has been earmarked for a new At Home store, the retailer today added Tamworth to the list of upcoming openings.
The Tamworth store will open its doors this autumn, while John Lewis at Home Newbury will open in 2012.
John Lewis says it will invest £7m in the Tamworth At Home, which will be on the Ventura Retail Park, a prime retail location north of Birmingham. Some 200 jobs will be created.
The retailer believes the Tamworth shop will complement its full-line department store in Solihull. A further full-line store is set to open in Birmingham city centre in 2014.
