Opening date announced for John Lewis Birmingham

John Lewis has announced that its new regional flagship shop in Birmingham will open its doors on Thursday September 24.

The date marks the completion of the 250,000sq ft department store, which represents a £35 million investment by John Lewis in the city.

John Lewis Birmingham will be the anchor tenant of the new Grand Central retail development. Customers will be able to shop more than 350,000 products from the retailer’s full range, including housewares, fashion, furniture, beauty and technology, in a four-storey building.

Housed in the newly-redeveloped New Street Station, the shop’s site is conveniently located for commuters to collect purchases via johnlewis.com’s Click and Collect service when going to and from the station.

The John Lewis Partnership operates 44 John Lewis shops across the UK (31 department stores, 11 John Lewis ‘at home’, and shops at St Pancras International and Heathrow Terminal 2), johnlewis.com, 339 Waitrose shops and waitrose.com.
