Pam Plant has resigned as housewares director of BHETA.

The trade association’s chief executive David French says Plant’s decision follows the recent announcement that BHETA is to merge with the British Jewellery, Giftware & Finishing Federation. He said that the relocation of BHETA to Federation House in Birmingham, set to take place in July, created an opportune moment for her to move on.
Plant will remain in her role until the end of June in order to see through the Exclusively Housewares show on June 9 and 10 in London.
In a letter to BHETA members French wrote: “Pam has done sterling work in the development of the housewares sector of BHETA and played an important role in the launch and organisation of the very successful Exclusively Housewares Show in London. We wish her all the best in whatever she chooses to do next.”
BHETA president Andrew Weiss added: “Of course we will all miss Pam. She has been instrumental in the development of BHETA’s housewares sector, and her industry knowledge is second to none. She represents a very hard act to follow, and we’ll be talking to members about how to find a suitable replacement in the coming weeks.”
