Portmeirion wins gold for commitment to staff

The tableware specialist’s proactive and positive approach to its workforce in terms of their health and wellbeing was cited as the key factor in the group achieving the accolade, as was the fact that this is an ongoing commitment to its staff.

Managing director Michael Haynes said that the health and wellbeing of employees was “very important to the ongoing success of Portmeirion. It’s common sense. A happy, healthy workforce is always going to be more productive.

“I give great credit to all our staff; their commitment has been instrumental in our current success. The least we can do is make sure that we continue to do whatever we can to look after them”.
