Housewares supplier Pyrex is encouraging the nation to ‘bring out their best bakes and take a moment to enjoy some homemade family time’ during Pyrex National Baking Week, which takes place from October 13 to October 19.
Pyrex has teamed up with Cathryn Dresser, ‘Great British Bake Off’ contestant and author of ‘Let’s Bake’, who has created five exclusive recipes for the event. Pyrex will also host a ‘bakealong’ on its Facebook page during National Baking Week, where Cathryn will demonstrate how to recreate her recipe for a Gluten Free Cherry Bakewell cake. Ingredients and equipment information will be available in advance and the method will be revealed step-by-step with images.
On the Pyrex National Baking Week website www.pyrexuk.com/nationalbakingweek, which goes lives next month, there is a downloadable pack for organising a bake sale, including bunting, posters and price tickets. The website includes details about how to donate any funds raised to the Great Ormond Street Hospital ‘Bake it Better’ appeal.
