Robert Welch has a sharp focus on design

Winner of a Red Dot design award and the Good Design award from the Chicago Athenaeum, Robert Welch Designs’ Signature knives and utensils attracted plenty of interest at last month’s Exclusively Housewares.

Robert Welch has a sharp focus on design

The company worked with professional chefs to develop the Signature knives, each one of which has been constructed for its specific task to ensure comfort in the hand and optimum cutting action.

In addition, the knives have been independently rated as being in the top 3% of all brand knives for initial sharpness and edge retention.

To keep knives in optimum condition, the black ABS knife block contains a built-in sharpening mechanism. Alternatively, the newly-launched hand-held sharpener, weighted for stability and safety with a non-slip base, is available as a separate item.

Signature utensils are made from stainless steel and feature comfortable rounded handles with a lipped end, and can be used both in the kitchen and as serving pieces at the table. Storage options include hanging racks in two sizes and utensil stands in black ABS or bamboo finish.

Retail price Knives, from £23.50; hand-held knife sharpener, £20; utensils, from £13.50
