Tabletop supplier Royal Crown Derby has launched a partnership with P&O Cruises.

The fine bone manufacturer’s Chelsea service plates have been selected for use on the cruise liner’s newest vessel, Britannia.
The 12in service plates, which are handcrafted in England using traditional methods at the company’s Osmaston Road factory, feature a trim hand-finished in 22 carat gold.
The Derby-based firm, which was acquired by tableware manufacturer Steelite International in 2013, will provide the serveware pieces to the ships’ fine dining restaurants, alongside tableware supplied by Steelite.
Royal Crown Derby creative director Andrew Klimecki said: “We’re delighted to have been chosen to provide our service plates to Britannia. The Chelsea patterned platters feature a design that is understated yet also luxurious. We’re sure they will complement the style of Britannia’s high end restaurants and impress discerning diners.”
Christopher Oakes, sales & marketing director of Royal Crown Derby, commented: “P&O Cruises is a long-standing client of Steelite International and we’re honoured to have been introduced to the brand by our parent company.
“The order comes just weeks after we exhibited alongside Steelite at Ambiente 2015 and demonstrates even further the synergy between the two brands and how we are able to provide an enhanced, combined offering to our clients.”
