Four cookbooks appear in ‘The Mail On Sunday’ weekly list of the UK’s top 10 best-selling non-fiction hardbacks.
Co-judge of BBC1’s ‘The Great British Bake Off’ series Mary Berry leads the way with ‘Mary Berry’s Absolute Favourites’ at number one. In this official tie-in to Mary’s newest BBC series, Mary reveals the secrets of her favourite food. Featuring all the recipes from the show, the collection of over 100 dishes also contains Mary’s favourite Christmas recipes, from the two 2014 TV specials,’Mary Berry’s Absolute Christmas Favourites’.
Food blogger Ella Woodward is at number two with ‘Deliciously Ella’: Her book contains more than 100 natural, plant-based, dairy-free and gluten-free recipes, including sweet potato brownies, Mexican quinoa bowl, superfood bread, marinated kale salad and key lime pie.
‘Tea & Cake with Lisa Faulkner’ by former Celebrity MasterChef winner Lisa Faulkner holds fourth position. In this title, the actress and cook shares her tried-and-tested methods for creating the perfect partner for a host of teas. It features recipes for biscuits, cakes, tarts and pies and an entire chapter devoted to all things chocolate. ‘
Sainsbury’s Cookbook:(Volume 1)’ is the eighth most popular title. Meanwhile, one cookbook is listed in the league of the UK’s top 10 best-selling non-fiction paperbacks. At number four is ‘The Great Comic Relief Bake Off Recipe Book’ which features 14 recipes created to celebrate Red Nose Day 2015, which took place on Friday March 13.
The best sellers lists are compiled by Nielsen Bookscan TCM, which collates real time sales from over 6,500 retailers representing over 90% of the UK book market. They appeared in the March 22 issue of ‘The Mail On Sunday’s’ ‘Event’ Magazine.
