Sainsbury’s is adding further fuel to the nation’s ongoing passion for baking with the launch of a new website dedicated to the craft.
www.sainsburys.co.uk/baking offers a wealth of ideas, inspiration and tips for the home baker. There are plenty of sweet and savoury recipes along with hints on baking shortcuts and advice on food intolerances, while baking for special occasions such as picnics, children’s parties and street parties is also covered.
A section on essential kitchenware features measuring and mixing products, tins, scales, tools and gadgets and storageware, all of which can be bought from the site.
A regular Q&A section is provided by baker and Guardian columnist Dan Lepard, who will also be on hand each month to solve baking dilemmas.
Sainsbury’s has seen sales of bakeware and other home baking items soar in the last 12 months and recently announced an exclusive book deal with Jo Wheatley, winner of the second series of BBC television’s The Great British Bake Off.
