Metallic detail on cakes is big news this summer, according to Squires Kitchen.
The cake decorating and sugarcraft specialist said: ‘Glittering gold, silver and copper cakes are one of the hottest trends in cake design this year, whether it’s delicate little touches or whole gilded tiers.
‘In particular, rose gold is having a bit of a moment. An alternative to gold and with a warmer glow, it’s no surprise that this romantic rosy tint has become so popular.’
In response, the supplier has launched Squires Kitchen’s edible Designer Metallic Lustre Dust Food Colour in rose gold, light rose gold and silver rose gold, for colouring cakes in this on-trend shade.
