Londoners allegedly saved over 90,000 calories when Groupe SEB’s Tefal brand opened a temporary “healthy café” in the capital.

Tefal took over an existing café in the Holborn area for one week, and rebranded it the Greaseless Spoon by Tefal. All meals were cooked using only the Nutritious and Delicious range of products.
The launch elicited a huge response from the public, with the offer of free meals attracting over 7,000 Facebook fans in three weeks, and reservations for the launch day booking out in under three minutes.
Now, the housewares manufacturer is looking at the possibility of opening again – this time in Dublin – this summer.
The Greaseless Spoon’s grease-free fry-up had 364 fewer calories and 32% less fat than an average café breakfast, saving customers 94,640 calories and 8,320 grams of fat during the week.
However, the Nutritious and Delicious full English was made up of all the usual ingredients – bacon, sausage, egg, chips, beans, mushrooms and tomatoes.
