Housewares Business-to-business magazine for housewares retailers and their suppliers
Housewares Magazine and HousewaresLive.net gave an update on plans to take The Housewares Conference & Innovation Awards forward when they addressed a BHETA members’ open forum yesterday.
Members of the British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA), who attended the event on Thursday June 28 at Federation House in Birmingham, were among the first in the housewares industry to hear the latest news about the 2013 event.
It was revealed that, following the success of The Housewares Conference & Innovation Awards 2012, which took place on March 27 at Heythrop Park in Oxfordshire, the 2013 event will be extended. Next year, it will be held over two days, from April 16-17, at the same venue. The Awards will be given out during a glitzy evening ceremony held on the first night.
The 2012 event was headlined by Michelin-starred chef Heston Blumenthal – and negotiations are under way with another big name celebrity for 2013 and with a globally acclaimed housewares retail chain.
Last year’s occasion attracted a capacity audience, who listened to a series of fascinating presentations on subjects ranging from high street trading and the influence of the internet to the Next Big Thing in housewares. The winners of the Housewares Innovation Awards were also unveiled, with accolades for the top retailers, top products and the Housewares Salesperson of the Year.
The 2013 event will be co-chaired by leading member of the housewares industry Pam Plant, who will share the role with Gary Gordon, joint managing director and buying director of Kitchen Kapers cookshop chain.
Faversham House promises that The Housewares Conference & Innovation Awards 2013 will be bigger, better and even more prestigious in 2013.
