My Gifts Trade, Evo Lifestyle Products and the Orthex Group are the latest housewares brands to join BHETA.
My Gifts Trade started life in 1966 as Music Exchange with a retail store in Manchester. A family-owned business, it has diversified and entered the home and giftware markets under the banner of My Gifts Trade. Since 2014, it has built its homewares business, initially through close collaboration with leading UK designers such as Hinchcliffe and Barber, Sara Miller London and I Like Birds, and latterly via the exclusive UK distribution of selected high quality European brands, including Costa Nova and Gusta. In 2018 it acquired ECP Design with its wide base of loyal customers, strong supply chain and sourcing capabilities. This has helped to expand distribution with My Gift Trade supplying leading high street retailers, independent gift stores, garden centres and e-commerce retail. It now has a 1,200m² warehouse facility near Manchester.
Evo Lifestyle Products began life as Trolley Bags UK Ltd. However, with the addition of several new names such as Scrub Daddy and Holster Brands, it evolved into Evo Lifestyle Products, a distributor of innovative homeware and lifestyle products. Based in the South West, it supplies individual retailers, national chains, wholesalers and buying groups based all over the world.
The Orthex Group is a leading producer of household products that make everyday life easier for the consumer. With customers in forty countries, it has three factories of its own and launches a variety of functional products every year. The Group’s brands include SmartStore™ (storage boxes), GastroMax™ (kitchen products) and Orthex™ (a variety of products for home and garden).
Seema Grantham, BHETA’s sector manager for housewares said: “I’m delighted to see sustainable, design-led companies with significant expansion plans joining BHETA. I look forward to welcoming the teams to BHETA.”
