Turkish companies strengthen presence at Ambiente

The number of Turkish companies participating in Ambiente more than doubled compared to 2020 with a total of 356 companies exhibiting at the trade show. 134 of the companies are taking part in the fair as part of the national participation of the exporters’ associations.

Adil Pelister, İMMİB President and CEO of İKMİB, said: “The strong presence of Turkish companies reflects the importance of the kitchen sector for Türkiye. In 2022 alone, exports worth US$6.01 billion were realised in kitchen products. This is a 31 per cent increase compared to the pre-pandemic period in 2019, with almost half of the exports, 49.1 per cent, going to EU countries and the UK. Within the EU, Germany is the most important market for the sector’s exports. We believe that the fair will make an important contribution to new business partnerships. We will continue our activities to promote the “Made in Türkiye” brand in the world.”

With the planned new intermediate warehouses in Germany, the association wants to further expand the logistical advantage of its member companies. “Turkish manufacturers have already proven themselves as suppliers in recent years due to their proximity to Europe and their reliability. The new logistics centres in Germany will make trade even faster and more efficient,” added Çetin Tecdelioğlu, President of the İDDMİB.

“The high-quality production of technologically sophisticated products and attractive prices make Turkish kitchen and household goods increasingly popular. With further increased participation in international trade fairs and our new digital trading platforms, we would like to further strengthen our position as a sustainable and reliable partner in international competition,” Tecdelioğlu continues.
