A novel appearance for Global knives

Global knives have been enjoying some free publicity from an unusual source.

A novel appearance for Global knives

The products, which are supplied by Grunwerg, have frequently featured in television programmes and are the preferred knife brand of the Roux family of chefs – from which has developed Global’s sponsorship of the prestigious Roux Scholarship. They also appear regularly in editorials in men’s and food magazines and in the national press.

Now though, for the first time, Global has found itself appearing in the pages of novels.

Paul Garrison’s Buried at Sea features a gruesome scene involving the Global bread knife, while in Stephanie Lehmann’s more risqué novel, The Art of Undressing, the main character tells us about her most prized possessions. Her favourite turns out to be her 8in Global chef’s knife.
