Thirty-five employees at Denby were made redundant last week.
The pottery company warned last month that a then-unspecified number of job losses would be inevitable. Since then it has been in talks with the Unity union about the redundancies.
The company, which puts the blame for the job losses on “the downturn in the retail trade”, employs 700 people in total.
