Plastic food storage, lunch box and sports bottle manufacturer Sistema has joined forces with Dexam to develop its brand more widely across the independent sector.
With effect from March 1 Dexam’s field sales force is offering the Sistema range as part of its product offer.
John Prest, Sistema UK’s general manager, described the initiative as “a great opportunity for us to widen our distribution. I’ve long admired Dexam as a business and the extent of their coverage in the UK. Joining forces with them enables us to penetrate areas that we haven’t yet managed to do ourselves.”
He went on: “We’ve enjoyed a fantastic two years since we started the business and have some wonderful new products in development. Dexam’s field sales force will now be able to present these, and our existing range, as part of their offer. It also helps both companies with the ever-increasing freight costs and minimum order levels”.
Dexam managing director Roger Morgan-Grenville added: “We’ve waited many years to find the right partner to work with in storage. With Sistema we feel we’ve found it: high quality, ambitious, young at heart and very focused on customers.”
Sistema will continue to deal directly with its portfolio of national retailers.
