Exclusively Shows attracts 151 exhibitors

The organiser of Exclusively Housewares and Exclusively Electrical has revealed the names of new exhibitors at next month’s event in London.

BHETA (British Home Enhancement Trade Association), the owner and organiser of the Exclusively Shows, said 32 new companies have signed up to exhibit at the co-located event, bringing the combined shows’ total to 151 exhibitors showcasing 275 brands.

Exclusively Housewares and Exclusively Electrical will take place on June 11 and June 12 at the Business Design Centre in Islington.

Six new exhibitors will join Exclusively Electrical: Cleva, Ritterwerk, SodaStream, Connect/Samsung, Smartwares and Scott Brothers/Honeywell.

And 26 new exhibitors will join Exclusively Housewares. They are: Amefa, Aydya, Barista, Candlelight Products, Captivate Brands, Casa & Casa, De Buyer, Dexam, Eko, Snips, H&L Russel, Spontex, Mepal, Nogent, Orthex Group, KitchenCraft, Patterson & Rothwell, Remoska, Royal Doulton, SMB Group, Starplast, Stor, Talleres Toyma, Ultimate Products, Valerie Graham and Wegter.

According to research by the Exclusively Shows, a big trend that is emerging is eco-friendly products. One in four exhibitors are showcasing products with eco credentials including Eddingtons, Huski Home, Smidge, Neat Ideas and Dexam, with qualities stated as ‘biodegradable’, ‘earth friendly’, ‘minimal impact on the environment’ and ‘made with recycled materials’.

One in five exhibitors have selected the categories of food on the go or hydration when describing their product offerings. Exclusively Shows said: ‘There is a real demand for these products, as consumers search for alternative items to reduce their use of single-use plastic. Food on the go containers continue to offer a variety of attributes, from cooling to dividers and inclusive cutlery. Also, check out the alternatives to clingfilm from companies such as Auteur with its Roll’eat brand, Eddingtons and Charles Viancin’.

When it comes to hydration, differentiation is coming from the materials that products are made from, how easy they are to clean, biodegradability, colour and styling. Names highlighting hydration include SodaStream, Grunwerg, Thermos, Aydya, Kambukka and Auteur.

It’s also good news for British manufacturing, as this year 20 exhibitors are manufacturing products in the UK. Companies to look out for include What More UK, Denby, Taylor’s Eye Witness, Arthur Price and Pendeford Housewares.

As in past years, the heart of the business carried out at the Exclusively Shows remains that of housewares, tabletop and small domestic appliances. For 2019, one in three stands will show bakeware, over 40% of exhibitors will have cookware and 30 exhibitors will offer small domestic appliances – with the bulk of these located in Exclusively Electrical

Other popular categories are cleaning and storage and, reflecting the trend of cookshops diversifying into homewares, nearly one third of exhibitors are offering home accessories. Finally, as housewares products are so often given as gifts, about a third of our exhibitors will display gifting products.
