Finalists revealed for DIY Week Awards 2018

Now in its eighth year, the DIY Week Awards 2018 will take place on May 11 at the Park Plaza Victoria in London.

A total of 27 products have been shortlisted across nine categories and 18 home improvement and garden retailers have been named as finalists across six categories.

The supplier categories were judged by: Andrew Georgiou, senior trader, Robert Dyas; John Cosford, buyer – diy, Wilko; Mike Farrants, buyer, Wyevale Garden Centres; Paul Andrews, diy product manager, Home Hardware; Paul Warren, managing director, Broad Street DIY; Steve Guy, head of sales – outdoor, Kingfisher; Vicky Nuttall, director, Garden Industry Manufacturers Association (GIMA); Gary Hayman, group buyer, Capital Gardens; Paul Garland, associate buyer – DIY & Garden, QVC UK.

The retail categories were judged by: Simon Bicknell, marketing development director, Toolbank; Paul Bagnall, channel manager, Henkel Consumer Adhesives; Iain Wylie, chief executive, Garden Centre Association (GCA); Colin Petty, industry consultant and former DIY Week publisher; Nigel Wright, operations director, Stax Trade Centres; Steve Akers,. director of buying, bira direct; Mark Alexander, managing director, Benchmark Retail Services; Paul Housego, retail consultant.
