Hot Plate Products is the latest housewares company to join the British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA).

Hot Plate Products started life in 2013 as a housewares brand building and distribution company and within three months had partnered with Bialetti, Universal Expert by Sebastian Conran and Fusionbrands and gone from zero distribution points to over 600. It is also the exclusive UK distributor for Neatfreak! and Bloom.
Managing director James Gray founded the firm after spending a number of years working for Joseph Joseph. He said: “I saw a gap in the market in that some fantastic brands have developed in housewares over the last few years, but many distribution companies don’t represent brands, they simply trade products without considering the value that brand equity brings. The company ethos is to work with a small number of brands that don’t cannibalise each other and offer all retailers the opportunity to range a full product solution.”
He continued: “Hot Plate Products takes pride in selecting the right brands and delivering a proven rate of sale often through excellent analysis of UK market opportunities. Joining BHETA is a certain way of ensuring we can access the latest information and develop the best possible contacts.”
BHETA home enhancement sector director Will Jones commented: “Hot Plate Products has a really interesting and different proposition for the housewares market and I’m delighted to welcome the company to BHETA.”
