Clarion Events, organiser of the Home show, held from Sunday January 11 to Tuesday January 13 in London, says it is thrilled with visitors’ reaction to the exhibition.

The trade fair for housewares and interior accessories was co-located with design-led gift show Top Drawer and CRAFT, across four halls on two levels, at a brand new home at Olympia.
Marketing manager Julia Galbraith told www.HousewaresLive.net: “Buyers enthusiastically embraced the new venue and layout. Home recruited the strongest line up of high quality exhibitors to date, with more world exclusive product launches and more exclusive exhibitors than ever.”
She added that Home now consists of two key elements – Modern Home Cook & Dine and Decorative Home – and noted that the housewares content was “stronger than ever” with new exhibitors Joseph Joseph, Apollo Housewares, George East, ICTC and Grunwerg joining established Home exhibitors such as Gilberts, Forma House, Stelton, iittala, Universal Expert, Robert Welch Designs and Crown Trent .
Meanwhile, the second edition of CRAFT – which showcased designs from more than 150 artisan makers – grew by more than 50%. And making its debut, ‘New Talents’ featured new designers from both Home and Top Drawer who were gathered together in a dedicated area. Here, buyers could locate the hottest new talent, selected by leading journalists and design experts.
The addition of live fashion events on the Top Drawer Catwalk and the creation of the Fashion Bar also added a “lively buzz to the proceedings and proved highly popular with both visitors and exhibitors”, Julia said, as did a programme of Retail Masterclasses which comprised short presentations from industry experts including Heal’s chairman Will Hobhouse and design guru Sebstian Conran.
· Sebastian Conran will be speaking at The Housewares Conference 2015. Organised by Housewares Magazine and www.HousewaresLive.net, the event will be held on April 22 at Wokefield Park in Berkshire. More details are available online at www.housewaresconference.co.uk.
