Joseph Joseph has received the Best of Show accolade for its four-piece baking set at this week’s Gourmet Housewares Show in New York.
The British company is among four honoured in the first annual Best New Product Awards at the show, which is running alongside the New York International Gift Fair.
Awards were also presented in three product-specific categories: cookware, dining and kitchen preparation. Winners and finalists in each category were selected by a panel of trade editors who looked at innovative design, creative use of materials/construction and use of new materials/technology.
Joseph Joseph’s baking set comprises an adjustable rolling pin, spatula, pastry brush and timer in a striking pink and aubergine colourway, presented in a gift box.
Winner in the cookware category was Woll Cookware for its Diamond Plus 9.5in frypan featuring a reinforced cooking surface and which is metal utensil, dishwasher and oven safe.
In the dining category the winner was Corkcicle’s wine chiller, made of BPA-free plastic and with a cork top, that cools wine from the inside to maintain a perfect drinking temperature.
Triumphing in the kitchen preparation category was Zoku for its Zoku Character Kit, a 17-piece set of stencils, faceplate and tools to create Quick Pops with whimsical animal faces and unique designs.
