Lakeland launches three stores this month

The 67-strong housewares chain has just revealed that it will open a new branch, at the Gracechurch Centre in Sutton Coldfield, at the end of October.

This outlet will join two others launching at the same time: a branch at The Mall at Cribbs Causeway in Bristol measuring less than 3,000sq ft; and a 5,000sq ft outlet in the INTU Lakeside shopping centre (formerly Lakeside Shopping Centre) at West Thurrock Way in the Essex town of Grays.

Meanwhile, further north, Lakeland’s Chester branch is on the move. Currently at 5 Eastgate Row North, the shop will close on Sunday October 20 to transfer to new premises, reopening at 15-17 Northgate Street on October 21.

In addition, Lakeland is moving out of Worcester city centre and relocating to a nearby garden centre. The branch, currently at 13-14 St Swithin’s Street, is to become a fixture at Webbs Garden Centre at Wychbold, near Droitwich, in the new year.
