Nadiya Hussain to front brand new BBC Two series

Nadiya Hussain returns to BBC Two with a brand new eight-part series entitled ‘Nadiya’s Family Favourites’.

In her new show, the baker, columnist, author and TV presenter – who rose to fame after winning the sixth series of BBC’s ‘The Great British Bake Off’ in 2015 – will reveal the kinds of food that she prepares for her family and friends.

Nadiya said: “I’m delighted to be able to share some of my family’s favourite recipes that I’ve put together to suit different times and situations.”

The themes explored each week are: Family Day Out, Family Get Together, Hustle & Bustle, Manic Weekdays, Nothing in the House, People to Stay, Treat Days and Wind Down Weekends.

In each episode, Nadiya will prepare four recipes, including Spatchcock Spicy Chicken with Ghee Potatoes and Baked Pear and Marzipan Crumble.

The series will also see Nadiya out and about with specially filmed inserts. In ‘Home Made’, Nadiya will meet producers of every day ingredients such as olive oil or red wine vinegar, and in ‘Store Cupboard’ she will meet people who make products (including Cornish pasties and marmalade) from their home kitchens.

BBC Two channel editor Patrick Holland said: “Nadiya is such a brilliant voice on BBC Two. The audience love her passion, skill and natural warmth. I’m delighted that her new series will be arriving later this year.”
