New children’s homeware brand Dare & Do launches this month

Designed and made in Britain, Dare & Do is an adventure-inspired children’s homeware brand that makes its debut this month.

Dare & Do was set up in October 2015 by husband and wife duo illustrator Rupert and ex-journalist Sophie, after noticing a lack of gender-neutral homeware for children.

Rupert said: “I spent my boyhood building bike trails, canoeing down rivers and making mud dams. My inspiration for the range came from ‘Boy’s Own’ tales and other stories of adventure and derring-do.”

With two children of their own, Rupert and Sophie hope their vintage-inspired designs will bring a love of the outdoors and a thirst for adventure to families across the UK.

From motorbike races and Wild West cowboy escapades to bareback elephant riding and Alaskan canoeing, Dare & Do aims to ‘delight and excite’ with its hand-drawn designs.

Rupert’s illustrations adorn products ranging from posters, mugs, wallpapers, fabrics, parchment lamps and cushions to wall stickers and screen prints

All Dare & Do products are designed and are produced in the UK by expert craftsmen and Rupert and Sophie themselves. Posters are hand silk-screen printed in their studio, British bone china mugs are decorated in Stoke-on-Trent, wallpaper is printed onto responsibly sourced paper stocks in Cheshire, fabric comes from Lancashire, parchment lamps come from the West Country and the cushions are printed in Brighton.
