New Lakeland website mimics in-store experience

Lakeland has unveiled its new ecommerce website, which, says the retailer, offers improvements in every section.

New Lakeland website mimics in-store experience

The company says that it has used customer feedback to build lakeland.co.uk to ensure it is user-friendly and to “recreate our in-store experience online”.

The website uses more space and more pictures, and features a zoom function as well as more product demonstration videos.

There is also a selection of virtual Lakeland catalogues, with customers able to shop directly from any one of them. A click on any image within a catalogue provides a close-up and further information.

Customers can also find information on their nearest Lakeland store, of which there are now 51.

Tony Stockil, CEO of the Javelin Group, which developed the site, described it as an “unrivalled ecommerce website… one with which any business, including the very biggest and most sophisticated online trader, would be delighted.”
