Housewares and housewareslive.net are to have a new publisher: Jan Thorpe is taking over from Colin Petty
Colin Petty has decided that after nearly 44 years as a journalist, editor and publisher, it’s time for a change of pace. Effective today, June 15, he is relinquishing his role as publisher of the home improvement division at Faversham House after 11 years in the job, and moving to a new part-time role as special projects consultant to the division.
His new role will enable him to focus on developing new projects and supporting the Housewares editorial and sales teams, as well as helping and advising with the Housewares Conference and Innovation Awards.
Jan Thorpe is currently publisher of Faversham House’s building products division, and will retain this role as well as taking over responsibility for Housewares, DIY Week, Hardware & Garden Review, and Builders Merchants Journal.
