New Teflon colours add lifestyle to cookware

This week’s Ambiente show in Frankfurt sees the introduction by DuPont of the new Colour Collection for Teflon non-stick coating systems.

New Teflon colours add lifestyle to cookware

The Colour Collection, which DuPont says will provide added value for both retailers and consumers, was developed on the back of comprehensive market research with consumers and the trade.

The result is a range of three fashionable colours for DuPont non-stick coatings: Hot Chilli, Lavender Blue and Champagne Gold. DuPont says that the new colour range not only provides attractive design highlights within the cookware market, but also allows manufacturers and retailers to target specific customer segments.

Hot Chilli has been conceived as a real eye-catcher – red, lively and exuberant, and aimed at young trend-setters. It is also designed to stand out in-store.

Lavender Blue is relaxing, and designed with traditionalists in mind: unusual enough to be noticed, yet familiar enough to make the purchasing decision easy.

Finally, says DuPont, market research suggests that consumers take to Champagne Gold straightaway. The colour compliments any kitchen design, creating a sense of luxury paired with elegant understatement.

The Colour Collection aims to enhance the move towards cooking as a leisure activity, and also caters for the trend toward integration of cooking and living areas.
