ProCook has announced plans to open its first Derby store after signing a lease for a 2,241 sq ft unit at Derbion shopping centre.
The new store will feature the retailer’s latest shop design, allowing customers to browse its range of cookware, kitchen accessories and dining products.
The opening will mark another step in ProCook’s ongoing retail expansion, following the announcement of a new store at Braehead Shopping Centre in Scotland earlier this year.
Lee Tappenden, CEO of ProCook, said: “The opening of our Derbion store marks another important milestone in our retail expansion and reflects our continued investment in bringing the ProCook brand to major retail destinations across the UK.
“This is a great setting to showcase our latest store design and products to Derby’s growing young professional population.”
The announcement comes amid a period of investment at Derbion, which has recently secured several new retailers, including Superdry & Co, independent toy shop BarnDawg, Savers and Thérapie.
Beth McDonald, Managing Director of Derbion, welcomed the addition of the kitchenware specialist to the centre.
“ProCook becomes the latest brand to select Derbion for its flagship location in the East Midlands, cementing our position as the go-to destination for retailers in the region,” she said.
“The addition of ProCook follows an action-packed couple of months for our leasing and asset management team as we continue to refresh our line-up to curate a diverse tenant mix which caters for people of all ages.”
The signing also comes as Derby undergoes a series of regeneration projects aimed at strengthening its city centre, with new residential, commercial and cultural developments expected to attract more visitors.
An opening date for the new ProCook store has yet to be confirmed.
